What we do Wednesday 🙂 Funding new and vital equipment.
We have recently purchased a new video laryngoscope for the Trevor Mann Baby Unit. This item was requested by staff to help with when babies need a breathing tube as it makes it safer and easier to insert the tubes.
Cassie Lawn, Consultant from TMBU, told us:
” The video laryngoscope that the EBA has funded has helped us to teach junior medical staff and nurse practitioners the vital skill of placing a breathing tube. The video laryngoscope enables remote visualisation of the tiny airway to enable two people to do the procedure together and allows training.”
