World Book Day
Published 3rd March 2022
Reading a book to your baby while they are in hospital is so important for them and parents too. 💛. It provides a lovely way to bond; creates special moments to remember, as well as helping your baby’s brain development.
The EBA provides books to the units for special times of year such as Valentine’s Day, Easter and Christmas gifts. We also provide books for siblings such as ‘My Very Little Sister and the Very Big Story’ www.brettbooks.co.uk, which was written by our committee member Amy’s daughter about when her sister was born prematurely.
We also like to provide books that may help offer comfort and support to bereaved families.
You’ll likely always remember the first book you read to your baby. Our committee member Julie read the Owl and the Pussy-cat to her son Samuel when was in TMBU and then at The Alex.
