Staff Christmas gifts 2021
Published 28th December 2021
This year we supplied 138 gift bags for staff across TMBU and PRH as part of our ‘Spreading Christmas Cheer’ campaign. We really wanted to give the staff some extra treats as the Pandemic has been challenging in so many ways for all NHS staff. We also wanted to use this opportunity to say thank you to them again for all their hard work and dedication at Christmas time and all year round.
Our committee member, Julie, sourced and packed locally produced handmade presents to go in a gift bag for each staff member. A big thank you to The Sussex Handmade Soap company, www.sussexsoap.co.uk, who supplied us with some beautiful and unique Christmas soaps. Also thank you to Audrey’s Chocolates in Hove, www.audreyschocolates.co.uk, for supplying some delectable chocolate Santa’s. Both companies pulled out all the stops to supply such a large number of items at quite short notice. Each staff member also received an EBA Christmas card and gift voucher. Thank you to Nicola our secretary for sourcing and writing these. Also thank you to Kate Wilson who helped by supplying and writing all the gift tags.
The gift bags have been very well received by staff on the units. Hannah Fraser-James, Neonatal Sister and Special Care Lead, contacted us to say:
“I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and everyone from the EBA for the teams Christmas pressies. Such lovely gifts and everyone I saw open theirs said the same! Definitely bought some Christmas cheer! Thank you.”
Rachel Beston from TMBU and one of our committee nurses said:
“On behalf of everyone can I just thank you so much for the amazing gifts you bought the staff. Everyone was so touched and I heard over and over that nobody was expecting a treat and how lovely it was to receive them so thank you all”.
We are so pleased to know that the gifts help to brighten the festive period and lift the spirits of the staff. 💛
Thank you again to everyone who donated to our Justgiving campaign – you have really helped us to make such a positive difference on the baby units this Christmas. 🎄
