International Men’s Day

Today is International Men’s Day and, we’d like to give a shout out to all of the incredible men that have been involved in having a baby in a Neonatal Unit. Dad’s, Grandfather’s, Brother’s, Uncles – the neonatal journey has an impact on them all. Check out our Help and Support page for details of support organisations,

There are also several organisations who specialise in helping and supporting men in challenging times.
* Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) working to make sure everyone gets the support they need, no matter what.
* Dads Matter UK – – provides support for dads worried about or suffering from Depression, Anxiety and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
* Nine4Norah – They aim to support and fundraise for Baby Loss & Men’s mental health charities.
* DadsandLadsNetwork – is a men’s support network set up in 2020 by bereaved father Ross Coniam from Watford. Ross set up #DadsandLadsNetwork as a non-professional group to offer bereaved Dads and men suffering from mental health issues a safe space to talk. The private WhatsApp groups are open to all men that would like a safe and supportive environment to chat, as little or as much as they need. For more information please email

Also not forgetting all of the amazing men who work on the baby units – thank you! Your kindness, support and dedication stays in the hearts of many parents.
