Baby Loss Awareness week – what we do Wednesday
Published 13th October 2021
What we do Wednesday 💛
As part of Baby Loss Awareness Week, we would like to share some of the items the EBA has purchased to support those who have sadly lost a baby on one of the units.
A Moses basket and large baby nest which both provide a place for babies to lay next to parents when doing end of life care on Trevor Mann Baby Unit.
A baby bath, a top/tail bath and soft hooded towels for parents to experience bathing their baby.
Various books including sibling books to explain the death of their baby brother / sister and some lovely children’s books parents can use to read a story to their baby before/after they have passed away.
Outfits for babies who have passed away, if parents wish to use them.
Baby clay art for parents to make hand / foot prints so they can keep them as precious memories.
We hope that by providing these items, we can bring a small amount of comfort to parents experiencing an extremely difficult time.
The Early Birth Association are registered on Virgin Money Giving,
where you are able to make a donation directly to us and set up your
own fundraising page for any events that you do.
