International Day of Charity

International Day of Charity

It’s the UN declared ‘International Day of Charity’ today.

As the only wholly volunteer lead charity that supports the Trevor Mann Baby Unit at RSCH and the Special Care Baby Unit at PRH Haywards Heath, we are in a unique position to offer a range of help and support to make a difference on the baby units. One of our strengths is the close working relationship we have formed with the staff. The Matron and some nurses from the units are highly valued Committee Members and Claire Hunt (Matron) is one of our Trustees. The rest of our Committee is made up of parents whose babies have been on the units and we have a unique understanding of what the neonatal journey can be like. One thing is true for us all – we love the units and have a real passion to keep working hard in our charity to do our best to make a positive difference for the babies, families and staff.
