National Bereaved Parents Day – Saturday 3rd July 2021
Published 3rd July 2021
The EBA would like to acknowledge National Bereaved Parents Day today, Saturday 3rd July, to raise awareness of all parents who have lost a child of any age, and from any circumstance. Parents who have lost babies on neonatal units are especially in our thoughts and hearts today. The EBA supplies some bereavement items for the Units (hand & foot print kits and memory bags, amongst other items) and we provided funding for the Quiet Room which opened in 2019 to provide a calm and peaceful space on the unit. We hope these small things help in what is the most unimaginably painful circumstance that families face.
If you’d like further support the following organisations and charities might be of help:
Please join us by lighting a candle on Saturday 3rd July at 7pm to remember all of the children who have lost their lives too soon.
The Early Birth Association are registered on Virgin Money Giving,
where you are able to make a donation directly to us and set up your
own fundraising page for any events that you do.
For further advice and support please also see the useful links and information at the bottom of the website.
