“Hi Gang. We hope you and your families are all safe and well. Push for Prems 2020 is going to look a little different this year!

Due to the current situation with the Covid-19 pandemic, unfortunately, we will not be holding the usual sponsored walk along the seafront this year. We absolutely love this annual event but it is so important that we all stay safe and protect our most vulnerable.

So, we have decided to launch Push for Prems 10,000 Steps! Instead of walking from the Royal County Sussex Hospital to Hove Lagoon we are asking all our families to unite at home and hold your own sponsored walk. The distance from start to finish on our usual route is approximately 10,000 steps, so we thought why not do the same this year. You can WALK, RUN or SKIP around your back garden, your lounge or as part of your daily exercise with your family. πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ’›

We have decided to keep the same date we had planned of SUNDAY 5th JULY to hold our individual walks, but if you would like to do it the day before or even in the weeks leading up to that date, that’s great too. All we ask is that you stay safe, get lots of sponsors, have fun and take as many photos as possible so we can share them with our Push for Prems community.

This year we are raising money for the The Early Birth Association, a charity that provides vital equipment and supplies to both the Trevor Mann Baby Unit and the PRH SCBU in Haywards Heath. The TMBU can give little ones, born as early as 23 weeks, the best chance of survival. There are only a few hospitals in the country that have this facility. This comes at a time where the NHS has been stretched to the limit and charitable support is more vital than ever.

So who’s in??? πŸŽ‰πŸ˜€πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘ΆπŸŽ‰ Let’s not let this pandemic hamper our fundraising activities for such AMAZING baby units. More than ever, they will need our support.

There will be plenty more information to follow but we wanted you all to SAVE THE DATE – Sunday 5th JULY for Push for Prems 2020. You’ll have plenty of time to dig out those tshirts, tutus and fancy dress costumes 😘 Let’s make Push for Prems 10,000 Steps the best year yet! Together, we can help save tiny lives πŸ’—.

This year we request that all donations come in via our justgiving page and the link is below.
