Rubbish turned into cash for the EBA! Thank you Recycling in Lancing

On Sunday one of our Committee Members Julie and her son Samuel who was treated in TMBU, met Sue Wellfare from Recycling in Lancing to receive a donation of £50 to The Early Birth Association. Sue and her husband John do an incredible job of coordinating this local recycling scheme and sort by hand in their garage rubbish that can be recycled but isn’t included in council recycling schemes and send it off to Terracycle. Sue then generously donates funds made back into other charities, helping both the environment and other good causes! Sue has lots of local drop-off points for the recycling in the local area to Lancing, and is always very grateful to anyone who can spare a little time to help her and John with the sorting and boxing up – as they are often rather inundated for just the two of them! Truly amazing people who do so much to help their local community and the environment and we are very grateful for their support of our charity too. You can find out more about Recycling in Lancing online at https://recyclinginlancing.org.uk/ and on their facebook page where you can watch some videos about them too as Sue and John were recently featured in the Channel 5 programme ‘The Secret World of Your Rubbish’, and have been featured on BBC One Breakfast News!
