Family Fun Afternoon – a great time had by all and lots of funds raised for The EBA!
Published 31st August 2019
A massive well done and thank you to Clare Radford, mummy to Annie and Charlie, who as a keen supporter of The EBA organised, promoted and ran a very successful family fun afternoon today in Scaynes Hill. She raised an incredible £602.17 from the afternoon! Clare was treated in TMBU as a baby when she was born very prematurely in 1989. Earlier this year, she found herself in need of help from the baby units again when her son Charlie was born and needed to be admitted to SCBU at PRH. Clare says ‘ I can’t thank the nurses on SCBU enough for their support of us as a family and what they did for Charlie. They helped us explain everything to my daughter as it was scary for a 5 yr old to see her baby brother like that. I can’t thank them enough for the amazing work that they do.’
Today’s event included pony rides around the common which the children loved, various different stalls and games for the children to do, face painting, treats and gifts for the adults to buy and a cake sale. There was also a BBQ and ice creams to enjoy. Clare also drew the raffle for the amazing 73 raffle prizes she had acquired and will be in touch with all the lucky winners shortly! Thank you again to Clare, and also a big thank you to everyone who helped out during the afternoon and contributed towards making it such a success and so much fun. Thanks also to everyone who came along to support us – your help really does make such a difference in the baby units.
