New Committee Members!

New Committee Members!

Following on from a very successful AGM last week, The Early Birth Association are pleased to welcome on board two new parent committee members, Kirsten Genard and Becci Nowicki.  Both are mums to baby’s who were born prematurely (Becci has twin boys who have now started school!).  Kirsten has a background in PR and events and Becci is looking forward to joining us doing the parent support coffee mornings on the units. We are so happy to have them on the team and grateful for their time volunteering for us.

We also have two more neonatal nurses from the units joining us. Welcome to Eleanor Turk and Rachel Beston – your insights and expertise will be so helpful and we are so grateful to you giving your time to the charity too.

Claire Hunt, Neonatal Matron from TMBU and PRH is also now a Trustee of The EBA, and it is great to have her continued and increasing involvement in the charity as we continue to move forwards.  We are also so pleased that Dawn Fish, Julie Nalletamby, and Ryan Watkins are remaining in their roles as unit staff representatives. These close relationships and ties with staff from the units really helps us to do the best we can to support the teams working on the units and the babies and families needing the service.

As always, we would like more people to join our growing team of committee members and it doesn’t matter how much time you have to offer as there are a variety of roles and things you can do to help out. At the moment we are particularly looking for a new secretary so if you have skills/interests in that area we’d really love to hear from you!
